Adding New Journals to SPS and Updating Journal Tiering

Procedure for Adding New Journals to Staff Publication System (SPS)

New journal titles added to the SPS must be endorsed by VDR. Please seek VDRs approval from FOS for adding new journal.

 

To add, please provide the following details :

  • Official journal title
  • ISSN
  • Publisher
  • Country of Publication
  • Impact factor (if any)
  • Department's recommended Journal Classification (Internationally referred, local/regional referred, non referred or not classified)

PIs are to write an email with the above required information to Faculty (Attn: Belinda Lim) to request for addition of new journals. Faculty will forward the email to DRA for addition of the new journals. DRA will proceed to add the new journals in the SPS System.


Procedure for Tiering of Journals

PIs are to write an email to Vice Dean Research to request for Tiering of Journal into the various Tier (with cc to HoD and Faculty Administrative Staff (Belinda Lim)).

After Vice Dean Research has approved the Tiering for the stated journal, Faculty will forward the email with Vice Dean (Research)'s approval to DRA. DRA will prceed to update the system with the updated Tiering.
